I am going to Disneyland next week! BUT Oh man, I will miss the opening of the show by a month! Oh well, just another good reason to head back again next year! :D

I have heard rumors floating around that there could be soft-opening shows starting around May 12th. I wouldn't hold my breath, but who knows? You might get lucky...

Anyone know if they are going to fill in the rest of the water or leave it like it is after all the work is done?

I haven't heard anything about that but my guess is that they'll probably add the rest of it with water once they're done testing everything.

There are supposed to be three positions for the show platform, submerged, show mode, and maintenance mode. I imagine once they are done testing, you won't be able to see any part of the World of Color infrastructure unless they want you to see it...much like the Fantasmic piping and all...

I would agree that it would kind of ruin the whole Paradise Bay scene to have all the World of Color fountains and things visible...

Disney's one to keep things secretive or not want anything completely obvious to having something ruin the experience.

This was in the last MiceChat update from 5/10
"And on the massive World of Color platform, work continues fine-tuning the show as rumors circulate of unannounced soft-openings beginning as early as this week."
Sounds like a good reason to be at California Adventure in the evening :D

It's so exciting! But the logistics of getting everyone in to see the show is just a nightmare!
