Space Mountain Ride Music

Post by bamato » Jul Thu 17, 2008 8:02 am

I was just wondering, It's been a little while since I've been to DLR, did they take out that aweful Red Hot Chili Pepper's music overlay in Space Mountain? Sorry, I know some people like it, but I can't stand it. I like the normal music.

When I have been there it has always been the normal music. We go during summer months and the last time I was there was this past June.

I think the Red Hot Chilli Peppers music was just during certain times. Like they were trying to re-create the rock and roller coaster.

They took out RHCP music, but they also have a new track (it's no longer the Dick Dale track that you hear at SR :( ).

They had RHCP for about four months then they went back to the normal music. I just miss the Dick Dale track that was on prior to Space Mountain's close and refurbishment. I have it in memory here on SR and on my iPod though so that's a good thing.

This was only during their Rockin' the Parks promotion they had going back in 2007 from Jan. 4 - Apr. 26. I havent really heard of any kind of news to bring them back, but it doesn't sound like a far-fetched idea!

I for one actually liked rockin space mountain. I thought it was kinda cool to see it in a different way just for a little bit. It made it something new for a change. Just like when they overlay the haunted manison with haunted mansion holiday. However, i wasnt a huge fan of rockin california screamin.
