There never was a "lifetime" mug. Guests can be so full of... well, you know.
My roommates who work at the All Stars actually just told me about this... hopefully it stops the blatant abuse of the system that these guests think they are entitled to.

Call me goody-2-shoes but these kinds of things just never occurred to me. I'm appalled at the cheaty, sneaky, stinky ways people think to get something for nothing.

They haven't Amy. I got a mug today and they still have the terrible 2 minute limit on refills. I downed a mug of powerade and had to wait for my timer to run out for more. Really annoying at the end of the night when you are insanely thirsty. Also a little embarrassing when the machine won't let you get a refill. On the bright side, the water is still free and does not need the mug to work.

Thanks for the info NaCler ~ I understand the whole time thing...I guess. But it is annoying when you want a quick sip and refill, or the wrong soda is hooked up to a dispenser

Does the machine still yell at you in that weird disembodied voice?
Green ~ nice choice!
I was wondering

That seems ridiculous! So if you're really thristy...too bad, you have to wait?! Doesn't seem very "magical".

I guess that would depend on how much a mug holds. If you're slamming back 16 ounces of soda in 2 mins, that might be a bit excessive.

If it's really hot and you drink a Powerade, not really.

I always wondered, what is the caloric and sodium difference between a soda and a sports drink? I know a lot of people like to have them during/after a workout, but unless you are working really hard and losing a ton of electrolytes, it actually isn't needed since food will be able to replace them as well.

Correct, but if it's super hot at Disney and you've sweated alot, Powerade would be better for you than pop, which only makes you more thirsty. You could just drink regular water, which is what we do. But, on a normal basis, you do not need to consume sports drinks. I will use them only when it's really humid here and I've run an hour or more and I'm a sweater.

I agree with cy1229: Too many cheaty, sneaky, stinky people out there trying to buck the system. You can't blame Disney for cracking down on these losers. As upstanding citizens, If I see an idiot attempting to break the rules.... I usualy speak up... My wife rolls her eyes and tells me to "shut up".... But I can't help myself. It ends up costing us all in the end.
