My brother had those punch cards but I don't think he programmed with them :?
I know one year he made a very nice Christmas wreath out of them :D

you remember those old dot matrix printers that had the feeder lines on the sides, they had holes where the rollers caught the paper and rolled it, and then you could tear them off at the perforation lines? My dad literally has REAMS of it.. boxes full. so he rolled them up *just the feeder lines* and made drink coasters out of them, which is nerdy and cool.. I love them!

I should take a pic of one to show you.

And your whole program could bomb due to a hanging or dimpled chad (certainly made a presidential election to bomb here in Florida)...

I would say I was a Disney fan from a young age, but didn't go overboard (finding out all I could, planning, park hours, dining, resorts, etc.) until I discovered the Disboards and then Subsonic a few years ago. It came as a huge surprise that this all was going on online and I had no idea.

Likewise, lizzy. I was referred by a friend; otherwise, I would have never thought to look and find Subsonic. We're latecomers compared to some around here who has been with Subsonic from its early start!

Yeah, I would consider myself a "latecomer" as well but I have enjoyed every visit and I will never look back! :D :D

Yes I was definitely slow on the pickup here.

I actually did think of one thing that I did as a kid to further my disney fan-ness! We had the Minnie & Me trading cards! I actually still have a bunch of them in a box w/ baseball cards & garbage pail kids.

This would be a big "yes" for me. We would get the guide books form the library or just buy them. I wrote a big paper on the history of Epcot for my 11th grade history class. It ended up being a huge binder full of old photos and clippings. I wonder if my mom still has that old thing.

...and like back then, you still have to pay for the long distance call to WDW. How nice it would had been all these years if they had a 1-800 for reservations...

Oh my, that is what came to my mind as well. The cost of having to be on hold while making reservations used to make me a bit nervous

Worst part is, I know back then (but I don't know about now) that Disneyland in CA had a 1-800 reservation call line (used it to make reservations for a trip to DLR once)...
