So far I haven't had one of those embarrassing moments yet. Perhaps this May? I'm taking a friend that has never been to a Disney park.
Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.

One time bike riding in what was then Dixie Landings I went a little out of control on the bike and crashed into the bushes and fell off the bike and then into the wall in the breezeway! We couldnt stop laughing. It made a black mark on the wall that was there a year later! ha ha no more bike riding for me!

LOL! Great stories everyone! :D

I have quite a few stories. Our family always jokes that we can never get through a Disney vacation without an 'adventure' of some kind.

The first one was quite a while ago. We were walking down one of the pathways at Animal Kingdom and a bug flew right into my eye. I tried my best to get it out myself, but I was having no luck. So, my dad comes over, pulls me to the side to this little secluded area along the walkway and tries to help. Bear in mind, that I can't stand anything touching my eye(I could never wear contacts) and I was fussing quite a bit about this. Now, the combination of my protests and the position my dad was in must've looked like he was hurting me because a few minutes later, 2 CMs came over and started asking if everything was alright. My face got bright red and I stopped complaining real quick. I still feel stupid over that whole incident.

This second one didn't happen to me, but it was hilarious! My whole family went to Disney over Christmas one year and we were at MGM, coming from the buses to the main entrance. Now, they used to have these carts setup along the walkway where they would sell hats and other souvenirs(not sure if they still do). Well, my dad started joking about one of the hats they had hanging on one of the carts and heads over to inspect it, cutting in front of my grandmother in the process. Well, my poor grandmother lost her balance and went down hard. My grandfather bent over to help her up but she was so embarrassed and determined to get up herself that she yelled at him, hit him and pushed him away! Oh, it was priceless! That was the running joke for the rest of the trip.

While this didn't actually happen to us, it was because of us, my daughter actually and I'm sure the boys were most embarrassed. We were at DLR at christmas a few years ago. It had started to sprinkle so we decided to jump on the train to get over to New Orleans square. There were 3 young men seated near us who decided to try to show off and get my daughters attention. When we were exiting the train in New Orleans Square, they were rough-housing with each other and kept looking back towards us to see if my daughter was watching. The walkway was slick from the drizzle, and one of the young men, while looking back our way, lost his footing and went backwards over the low chain along the walkway, into the bushes. Got her attention alright. She busted out laughing, every time we saw those 3 guys that day.

So what happens when you are bored at college with a few hour layover..... you dig up an old thread! I definitely enjoyed reading some of the stories here and seeing that I really don't come close to having the best. However, I will share my stories.

These are from my most recent trip: We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge in 2006 and ate breakfast everyday in the Whispering Canyon Cafe. After a couple of days the CM's got to know us and we got to know their games. So when we went to eat there for breakfast this past time around, I knew what I was going to do. I immediately did the soda chug to get the huge glass and attention. I even went as far as to finishing off the larger one. All was well until the end of the meal when I had to ask the dreaded question... Where is the men's room? The server politely told me which way to run and I darted out of there... needless to say when I came back I was greeted with laughs. In order to makeup and regain some dignity I went for horse stick riding. My mom and dad proudly display pictures of this to me!

Second story took place at Prime Time. I decided once again to clown around with the elbows on the table and ignore Uncle Tim's (our waiter) warning to take the elbows off the table. This got everyone's attention and the CM's proceeded to get me to behave. They then pulled me out of my seat, marched me to the wall and had me hold a sugar packet against the wall with my nose. It was great, I was hysterical laughing along with the whole restaurant. I decided to take out my cell phone and try to sneak a text message to my brother asking if I could come back. However, I got caught doing this and they covered my head with a napkin. When they decided that I could come back, I had to yell out I learned my lesson and say I'm sorry. It was really funny and I took it like good sport, after all I was asking for it!

Um, what happens if you refuse to obey? I mean even refuse to stand against the wall holding a sugar packet with your nose?

I didn't even think of that. I was deserving of the punishment! :D

I ate it once right after it had rained at DLR in front of the Golden Horseshoe. I turned the corner a bit to quick and well, I was out cold for a few seconds. My girl friend at the time ate it too, she had to go to first aid for her wrist. All was ok though.

When getting out of the water, my family informed me my swimming suit was torn from top to bottom. I had a white t-shirt on that covered it, except for when I first got out the water. We went straight over to the store and shelled out $20 for the cheapest suit I could find, with family following close behind. (real close)
That is a riot!

This happened on my trip that just ended today...

We had JUST arrived at the French Quarter, and of course as usual, I needed to use the restroom. I did go in the right restroom- the Womens- but I opened the door to the last stall (the handicapped stall cause I like the extra room) and an older lady was already in there!!
Apparantly the latch didnt work, so I held the door closed for her and we actually ended up chatting through the stall doors for a second.
I apologized profusely and she thanked me for holding it closed (though no one else came in) and it ended up being fine.

But that is really no way to start your vacation- 5 minutes into it and that happened! I was laughing about it but a little afraid that it was a harbinger of doom for this trip.
I am glad I was wrong!! :)
