Re: i'll say it again, i HATE judi dench spaceship earth

Anybody else? And while we're at it, didn't there used to be some sort of projection animation on the first Rome scene, about "all roads lead to Rome," where there was like horse-drawn carts going down the roads in the backdrop? Pretty sure that was cut out some time ago, too. That went away in the...

Re: New Peter Pan Queue

After all these years I wish that the Imagineers would modify and enlarge the Peter Pan attraction. Maybe a queue that winds through the story of Peter Pan and this would lead to a new and modern ride. The problem with enlarging is... where are you going to put it? It's right up against Mickey's Ph...

Interesting list! Care to explain why? I'm curious, for example, why Aladdin is on the list but Dumbo isn't.

Re: Sorcerer's Hat being removed from HS?

The hat will be coming down, as well as the Great Movie Ride will be getting a "refresh". The ride will now be sponsored by TCM (Turner Classic Movies), and will have a new movie montage in the finale as well as have Robert Osbourne doing the pre-ride video and ride narration. The article is in the...

Re: You know you're a WDW nut when...

I was talking about Disney on the way home from school with my 5-year-old, and the subject turned to recently closed attractions. So, how do I get him to picture the one I'm talking about? Dad: "Remember the one where there was a boat and bombers were attacking it, and then we rode on a tram and wen...

... movies aren't made the same way as 20 years ago. I was talking about Backlot closing with a friend today. He said they should just update it instead... Everybody walks into a bright green room, and a guy with a computer adds in the tram, the canyon, the tanker, the flash flood and the fire in p...

Re: What is your favorite line to wait in and why?

They're still there, and still in their stalemate! Hmm, I heard recently on a podcast that it isn't really a stalemate. At least not anymore...they cleaned the space and didn't mark where the pieces were originally, and didn't put them back in the same way? I tried to get a picture once to see if i...

Yes to all. That's one of the reasons this is usually our first stop when we arrive.

I love it when they get into the jokes. That's how the attraction was intended to be, and it doesn't work with a disengaged skipper.

Re: Jungle Cruise jokes

We've had some great skippers over the years that were really into it and made us laugh - even though we've ridden so much that we knew all the jokes. That takes talent! I'm always sure to mention it to them when we get a really outstanding guide - that we ride all the time and their tour was top no...

Re: Off Kilter

I tend toward the off topic (it's the pirate in me ;) ) so I'll jump in as it seems Cardinals314 isn't always around. Many guests were very unhappy with the Villains Night because there were very long lines, people only got to see a couple of villains even though there were 50 or so of them either ...

It needs to be activated first. You don't even have a real annual pass number until you get the ticket.
