My cheapest trip to WDW was $365.30 dollars for two whole weeks. That included flights from UK to MCO, transfers (not Magical Express), Magic Your Way with Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More, one week in AKL and one in POP Century for four people. I managed this as I won a phone in comp on a lo...

Being from across the pond, we have different words for different things... A very nice security guy at the entrance to Epcot was checking our bags and my husband said to us 'Anything else or are we all done?' Before I could answer him the security guy said 'Can I look in your fanny sir?' We fell a...

We do Magic Kingdom on our last day, as our flights are about 6.30pm. We make sure we are packed and ready to go, leave our luggage at the resort, and head off early. Everyone tries to squeeze in their favourite rides, then walk ever so slowly down Main Street drinking in as much of the atmosphere a...

I've actually posted a thread about my neighbour's son who didn't know Walt Disney was actually a person.

I love to watch the 'Old School' cartoons, just to see the superior artistry. You can see how much painstaking time was taken to get them well... perfect, as opposed to the animated series we see churned out on Disney Channels. :x Walt would get the whip out and tell them get up to standard or get o...

No real plan of action, depends on which park we are in. Epcot: walk around WS after Illuminations; MK: hang back as much as possible (it's my life ambition to be the last person out); AK: Never actually been there for closing. MGM (sorry can't get used to new name yet) we just play it by ear. Typho...

Next thing you know, they will close IASW and convert it into a HSM attraction, flush with video screens and no animatronics. Oh Saints preserve us all!!! As much as I like HSM and Hannah Montana etc I think Disney should stay as Walt wanted, full of faith, trust and pixie dust. Not hoops, hip-hop ...

Like Cazza and Livvie's Mum it is costing them upwards of $10,000 to travel here. For them WDW is something special, it is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I feel so ashamed  I go every year (and stamp my feet when I can't get), but you're so right everyone (not just Americans) are overstressed th...

$2k is low for a family of 4 for 6 days. Sure the ads say $1600, but that is the min. If you read the annual report, it's ~$230 per guest per day, for a Family of 4 that is $920/day or $5,520 for 6 days (average stay length.) Compare that to the annual family of 4 in the US, ~$45,000 in 2006. Which...

I've asked some friends what is the first thing that comes into their mind when you say 'Disney'. Most people said Mickey, Snow White, Cinderella. I rest my case. What happened to: My Disney Store (it's gone) The big plush mountain at the back of the store Fun videos playing in the store (not traile...

Fantasmic, Illuminations, Wishes and Spectromagic. The advice I was given before my first trip to WDW was try everything even if it sounds boring. I am always mesmerised by the Hall of Presidents and Carousel of Progress (I love audio animatronics). The American Adventure is also a favourite of mine...

I know the old ride was cheesy, but the 3 caballeros is too kiddy for a world showcase ride
Isn't ths what Disney is about? Entertaining the whole family?
Change doesn't always suit everyone. I haven't seen it yet but I'll let you know what I think when I do
