i was wondering that myself, too, yzf...i mean, the actual contemp dvc isn't even "official" yet, even though we all know what's going on with it... but i couldn't find anything saying that it was definitely going to be called "kingdom tower" that sounded like it was definite... anyone have any sour...

i could see DL becoming somewhat boring for someone that's able to go there pretty much whenever they want. i'm guessing special events probably help in keeping it interesting, though. WDW, i think, would probably be harder to become boring since it has a lot more variety and offers a lot more activ...

wow, i've never seen dallas city hall... for a few seconds, before reading your full post, i was just staring at the city hall pic and wondering "photoshop?" lol...hey, at least the dallas city hall does look more modern, and not like a slightly confused hilton like the contemporary ;) i mean, yea, ...

i agree that it'd be nice if disney stopped cranking out movies mostly geared towards kids that usually fall way short with the critics and most adults. one amazing and wonderful thing about disney is that they have a reputation for making movies that are enjoyable for all ages-- not just children. ...

i was bummed when they decided to change it. the enchanted tiki room at wdw was definitely one of my top 3 favorite attractions when i was a kid...the other 2 were figment and 20,000 leagues....figures, they screwed up or removed all my faves:( back then i hadn't been to wdw in a couple of years, an...

lol jumrungle! she does grow on you, though. after the first time we saw her a bunch of years ago, ever since then it's like "awww, stacey!" since we now associate her with our vacations lol that, and we love the background music that plays on the resort channels that show what time the parks are op...

i just realized that everyone meant characters in the parks...i have to read more carefully! i guess i'd want to be a "person" character since the suit characters have such hot costumes! if the heat wasn't an issue, though, i'd love to be stitch or dale:D stitch is my favorite disney characte...

i voted for wishes. it's just so sentimental and pretty.

my second would probably be spectromagic, also for sentimental reasons. i love the music from spectromagic, too. i do admit that the electrical parade is more impressive than spectromagic, in my opinion, though.

i have a few... any of the figment AAs from back in the day...but that's mostly just because i loved that ride so, so much. the tiki room always amazed me, with all of the detail and AA birds, flowers, and tikis. splash mountain is also pretty amazing. but, the best AA now, in my opinion is stitch i...

i think we've only used the laundry once or twice for swimsuits over the years. the most we go in one spurt is about 10 days, so we just bring enough clothing. we're not big water park/swimming people so 2 swimsuits each usually is fine (and you can always rinse them in the shower). if we were going...

i have no idea...i was 1 and a half or 2... i doubt my parents remember, either :P i'm guessing something like small world, though... i do know that my first favorite disney rides/attractions were figment, 20,000 leagues, and the enchanted tiki room. i was also pretty nuts for captain eo, and had al...

thanks for the info, mousemaniacs. yea, it doesn't seem very disney to me, either...and yea, it might be a bit of an eyesore and kind of puts a damper on the contemporary's history and stuff... BUT, my hubby and i are DVC members...so we're psyched! it's always exciting to have more options, and it'...

i've heard the whole 180 days thing, too....however, my hubby and i have called as little as in 3 weeks and gotten reservations a couple of times. i guess we got really lucky, though, and i do suggest you call in 180 days to give you the best chance of getting reservations. it's probably best to cal...
