Re: Spectromagic or The Electric Light Parade?

I grew up with the Electrical Parade, so it'll always be my favorite. Not too fond of the current soundtrack they're using right now, or the fact that they got rid of the Blue Fairy, though. I'm still bitter about the Blue Fairy too. There was always something about see her "float" down the route l...

Re: Clockwise or Counterclockwise EPCOT???

Ah so they do the food and wine fest there in the fall? They do the one here in the late spring. I guess they wouldn't want to try it during October since it would be hard to fight the Santa Ana winds, plus they would have to split the guest talent pool. I think it might have been the first year th...

For the Food and Wine Festival they do. It runs from now until the middle of November.

Re: Your first time...

I can't remember what year it was, but it was the early 90s. I don't remember doing a whole lot of rides at MK because I was too chicken at the time. I also remember Epcot as being the most boring place ever. It was hot, I was thirsty and threw a hissy-fit because I didn't want to drink water anymor...

Re: Clockwise or Counterclockwise EPCOT???

Depends if I want the kielbasa with pierogies from Poland or the lobster/scallops fisherman's pie from Ireland first.

Re: Space Mountain Music

Got to go on once tonight. Even though I knew that there was no on-board audio, I was expecting more. The new sound effects seem sparse and hardly noticeable because you're going so fast. Towards the end, you could hear the music coming from certain speakers around you, which was all right. I would ...

Re: New Parade for DHS

Honestly, I've never seen the Block Party Bash at DCA during the years it was there. I never felt the need to see the parade. When it left, I was a little disappointed, but then heard it was going to re-appear at Studios. I was bummed because I really like Stars and Motorcars. When I finally did get...

Re: Pirates Disneyland v's Disney World

It's not just the drops, but there's a lot of build-up from the get-go at Disneyland. At Disneyland, you start the ride by slowly going through the Bayou 'at night' where there are shooting stars, fireflies, and the atmospheric banjo music. Then there's darkness, a warning, then a drop where you're ...

Re: Space Mountain Music

The poster says, "zippy musical track"- so does that mean it's gonna have actual ride music like Disneyland? If so, that's awesome.

Re: What ride/attraction won't you ride?

Will never, ever if I can help it, go see the Tiki Room Under New Management. I hate that they changed out the original attraction and put in Iago and Zazu to attract kids. After I saw it once, I was done with it.

Also Speedway because it's stinky and not fun.

Re: The People mover is coming back!

Yep, WDW was once called the WEDway Peoplemover. In fact, even though it's now TTA, my parents still call it "the Peoplemover" because that's what they remembered it being called. It will ALWAYS be the People Mover! Then again, it will always be MGM! Now, there's one we agree on! I still call it MG...

Re: The People mover is coming back!

This may sound silly, and you can roll your eyes, but I never knew it used to be called the Peoplemover until recently. I thought the term 'Peoplemover' was solely used in Disneyland, where the attraction was taken out long ago, but I always called it by that name. Now I know.

Re: Least favorite queue in each park?

I can't really think of any queues that I'll suffer for too long. I'm usually with people and we chat or just relax and that makes the time go by. The one queue that totally stick out is Big Thunder Mountain. It's too long, it's misleading for new guests, it's dark and confined, and it feels like it...

MSEP Extended

Good news for you who won't be able to visit in the near future, but wanted a chance to see the Main Street Electrical Parade. Due to overwhelming guest popularity, Disney has decided to extend the parade indefinitely. http://thedailydisney.com/blog/2010/07/magic-kingdom-main-street-electrical-parad...
