Re: Trouble at the MK???

Are some of those animatronics older than the rest of the show? Like leftovers from America Sings or something? I know they are at DL, but I don't know about WDW. Don't believe any at WDW are recycled. The ride opened before Horizons & World of Motion over at EPCOT closed and their AA's went into t...

Re: Anyone going to Disney on Leap Day for 24 hours?

I'll probably be there at lunch, but I wouldn't make a special trip for it. I do wonder how packed it will be since it's the dead season and all. I'm wondering about crowd levels too. I think it would be cool to be there during more nighttime hours (something I don't usually do unless we stay overn...

Re: Anyone going to Disney on Leap Day for 24 hours?

I was thinking it would be awesome to get there at opening and stay the full 24 hours until closing, but that would definitely require taking a nap on the TTA or something! Do you guys think that it would be possible to do every single attraction/ride in the park in one full day? I wonder how long i...

Re: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

Glad I am not there...talk about messing up your day at the Kingdom (no offense to the president) for a vaca that you probably planned way in advance. About the only thing that any of my CM friends said guests were complaining about property wide was the traffic. And even then there weren't any mor...

Re: Where to stay and play

Since you last stayed at the Polynesian, I wouldn't do a value resort b/c its just too different. Maybe a better option for you would be a 2-bedroom villa at Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you want to go cheaper, I would do connecting rooms at either of those deluxe hotels or do modera...

Re: Favorite Counter Service meals at WDW?

Apparently the next time we get to WDW, we're gonna have to check out Pecos Bill's. I wouldn't be against trying Tangerine Cafe either...I think Cbog40 could find something there too. Amy, did they have any sauce available for the falafel? Perhaps that would help with the dryness...if not, maybe it...

Re: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

We watched the speech during lunch, and I was actually impressed with what he had to say (rare for me to say about him or any other president, but we shall leave it at that). MK looked so weird all empty!!! I was disappointed that our local news cameras didn't have the castle behind him- just a ret...

Re: Favorite Counter Service meals at WDW?

Has anyone ever had the Mediterranean Sliders Combo? That sounds really good to me, I've never has falafel unfortunately. Is this at Tangierine? It sounds good! Yup, Tangerine Cafe. It is expensive though if you aren't on the dining plan ~ $15. But it is a lot of food and good to split with someone...

Re: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

Wanted to drop off some movies at Blockbuster and they were blocking a bunch of roads I usually take. But it enabled me to take these shots of the President's limo. Not the best shots. It was going very fast (Epcot Center Drive). http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu156/ToTguy07/IMG_00671.jpg This ...

Re: Mickey' Toontown Fair

I was sort of sad that I didn't spend more time in Toontown two years ago when we were there. I had forgotten it was closing  and didn't do much extra there. I did take some photos in Mickey and Minnie's houses but there was a young group of very exuberant, overly boisterous teenagers doing t...

Re: DVC coming to the Grand Floridian

Well, maybe they will add a quick service option to the new DVC area? Or they could expand Gasparillas? I'm just thinking that it is terribly small to accommodate more people than it already does. But they didn't add more dining to Animal Kingdom or Wilderness Lodge with the DVC added, so I guess t...

Re: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

Just read on another disney forum that: "I have a friend who is at MK right now. He reports that it's slower to get in thru the turnstiles, and everyone is being rerouted from the turnstiles, backstage to Tomorrowland. The cool part is, they have lined backstage with colorfull flags, they have floa...
