Re: Favorite Resort Lobby

Love many of the WDW resorts, but have to go with the Grand Californian out here at the DLR, especially beautiful at Christmas (aren't they all?). The Californian really feels right for the area and history. While I think the Grand Floridian is great, it is so similar to the Hotel del Coronado in Sa...

Re: What is your favorite Original Song from Disneyland???

There's a Great, Big Beautiful Tomorrow, followed by much of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Really not so much as standalone songs, but the instant memories.

Re: Disneyland Cravings!

Mmmmmm, the English Toffee From the Candy Palace on Main Street. Unchanged for years and always good. Have to buy it on the way out at night and then savor some last memories for the rest of the week. On a healthier note, love the chicken skewers at the Bengal Barbecue. Oh, and on a nice evening, ev...

Re: If there was one ride in DLR you would ride all day long

Well, since two,of my old favs are gone that would have filled the bill nicely (COP and Peoplemover), I'd have to go with the Disneyland RR; I like being able to look out at the different Lands, hear the announcements, and yeah, Dinosaurs! In fact, back when DLR hosted Grad Nights, after about 1 AM,...

Re: Indoor Fantasy Land Rides

Mr. Toad, soooo manic, I loved it! I liked the cartoon version of the story that Disney did and it was translated really well into a dark ride. Plus, as I've stated elsewhere, when I was really little, I was sure I was responsible for driving the car and then my daughter had the same response when I...

Re: Which DLR Land Would you choose to always visit?

Tomorrowland, at any age for me. Loved it as a kid with the short-lived Flying Saucers and the McDonald Douglas Rocket, loved the remodel with the Peoplemover and COP in the 60's, then Space Mountain, Skyway Ride, Autopia, Submarine...too many memories, all good. Always liked the attempts to look "f...

Re: last ride in

When it was there, Peoplemover was an excellent way to end the day; a last good dose of atmosphere and a final rest for your feet before that depressing walk out and the joys of the parking lot car search. Now, Matterhorn! Another attraction that puts you sort of in multiple lands at one time and gi...

Re: What is your favorite Disneyland ride that no longer exi

Ok, I'm gonna cheat and pick 3 - original COP, Peoplemover, and Mine Train; all were nice, longer rides, really got your tickets' worth, Yeah, I know, going back a ways to ticket days, but those were fun, too.

Re: Why do you like listening to Theme Park Audio?

I grew up about 30 minutes from Disneyland, so was a frequent visitor, and I've been lucky enough to visit WDW a number of times, and Paris Disney, too. These tracks provide such a nice, different sensory reminder of those good times. I think that's why I'm very partial to the attraction and Area mu...

Re: Your most beloved Subsonic Track

I also have to split my vote: The Land - Interior Loop (oh, to have the necessary points), Paris Phantom Manor with Vincent Price (such a great experience!), and almost equally, the original COP and Horizons.

Re: What song do you dread seeing in the Queue/Coming Up lis

I have to go with the numerous posts about the Parades and Shows; for me, I really need to be there in person for that whole experience to work. I like Illuminations and Tapestry of Nations in person, but yikes, they seems to play in some form every day. I cringe when the old guy does the Intro and ...

Re: Tracks that drive you nuts!!!

I'm sure I request some that drive people nuts, or at least off to the BGM stream, but I myself lose it when either of the one hours Animal Kingdom Lodge loops come on, the always popular Expedition Everest Area loop, those super annoying Resort TV "Infomercials", and yes, the Christmas music reques...

Re: Why do you like listening to Theme Park Audio?

For me, no matter what it is I'm doing, work, paying bills :( , or maybe killing those nasty pigs with my Angry Birds, having the Requests or Background streams running always take me back to any of my numerous times at Disneyland, my few special trips to WDW, and Disneyland Paris. It really reminds...

Well, others have mentioned what a long thread this is, so I don't know if these have been kicked around already, but I'm off when I see the "default" songs come on, mainly Starship Trooper chatter (OMG, I'm so sick of that every night), Tapestry of Nations, and Nova Era - Live Performance. These ar...
