Re: What ride/attraction won't you ride?
There is no ride I won't go on at any of the Disney parks because of the ride itself, it just depends on the line on a given day or, after many years of visiting, a "lack of interest" factor. I know Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is good, but I could only imagine sitting through it again with someon...

IF (the big if), I had the room, I'd have to snitch Dinosaur Gertie from the Studios. What an awesome drive hauling her back to SoCal that'd be  Even if you don't have room, make it  Wouldn't it be awesome to have her in a huge swimming pool in your back yard? And I'm thinking I'd have he...

Re: Which DLR Land Would you choose to always visit?
Tomorrowland, at any age for me. Loved it as a kid with the short-lived Flying Saucers and the McDonald Douglas Rocket, loved the remodel with the Peoplemover and COP in the 60's, then Space Mountain, Skyway Ride, Autopia, Submarine...too many memories, all good. Always liked the attempts to look "...

Re: What is your favorite Disneyland ride that no longer exi
Ok, I'm gonna cheat and pick 3 - original COP, Peoplemover, and Mine Train; all were nice, longer rides, really got your tickets' worth, Yeah, I know, going back a ways to ticket days, but those were fun, too. Did you get to ride the Mine Train?? How was it? The audio for that attraction always mak...

Re: The Disney Park Decades: If You Could Go Back In Time
I have to split my vote between the two U.S. parks: Disneyland, right after the '60's revamp of Tomorrowland where we got CoP, Peoplemover, Inner Space, America the Beautiful film, it was so good. Then for WDW, 1980's, right after the opening of Epcot. Brand new Epcot was just mind-boggling to me, a...

Re: Favorite Overlooked Attraction
CoP and PeopleMover in California were always my favorite overlooked attractions. Now I look for little hidden nostalgic spots in the Park that other people walk right by. There are still areas of Main Street that feel right and since everyone else is heading towards the rides, you can really make i...

Re: Pirates Disneyland v's Disney World
Both are good but I give the nod to Disneyland. The atmosphere in the queue area, the fireflies, the low sound of the voices of diners at the Blue Bayou, banjo music, yeah, all good. And I still cringe when that drunken pirate on the teetering barrels fires his pistol at the boat

Re: What would it take to make you stop going?
I guess I'd have to finally stop going if the admission prices truly went through the roof or if as others have mentioned, the attractions started to be based on someone like Miley Cyrus or one of the other Disney Channel "stars"; the High School Musical Parade was bad enough and sent me zooming in ...

Re: What ride(s) have you ridden the most?
Current attractions: Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Indy, Big Thunder, Matterhorn, Space Mountain. Gone, Not Forgotten: CoP, PeopleMover, Journey Through Inner Space. And even though there were gaps, when I was a youngster, Autopia was an absolute must, even after getting a license (because we always did...

Re: Were You A Disney Park Fan Before The Internet?
Absolutely! Grew up right along with Disneyland, going at least once a year, watched The Wonderful World of Color every week, which frequently got you all hyped about plans for a new attraction, then subscribed to Disney News, and finally, sure, the internet. I do remember planning my first trip to ...

Re: Nap-worthy attractions
Much as I enjoy the ride, the Disneyland RR is a great nap/eye-resting spot. Everyone is looking forward at the passing scenery, lots of areas to pass thru with shade, the narration and station announcements are so familiar, I don't really even hear them, and then you get the Grand Canyon music and ...

Re: Disneyland or Disney World
I was born in SoCal, so for years, Disneyland was perfection. Then, after visiting WDW, I really feel that while DLR is the original, that was the trial run; WDW, with all the beautiful land to buffer you from traffic and billboards, and the well-placed resorts, it feels much more the way I think Wa...

Re: What rides have you been stuck on when they broke down?
I've been stuck on Haunted Mansion numerous times, Pirates, Indy, Matterhorn, the older Submarine Voyage, (now I'll really do some old DLR ones), Skyway, Adventure Through Inner Space, and Mr. Toad. At WDW, had a loooong breakdown on World of Motion when lightening hit outside the building - all the...
