Re: Disney Paris - Can you see it all in one day?

Well a message arrived this morning from my dear friend who works over there with my room rate quotes at his discounted rate for cast, so as soon as I can read it, I'll make a decision. Probably within 48 hours or so. :) Awesome! Better than anything I can offer :D I hope you go, you'll have a spec...

Re: Behind the scenes pics

Oh ok. Isn't that where Jack Sparrow is now? It would still be fun to toss it up and have it rain down ~ fake or not  Right, but it was still the All Skeletons, All the Time when I got to see it. Which I still prefer but certainly understand the movie tie-in to draw in additional guests (I gue...

Re: Snap Your Fingers and you are at . . . . . .

I'm gonna skip breakfast, "snap", go on the Great Movie Ride, then lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, the main purpose of my Snap right now, that says WDW to me! Can I "snap" and come with you for that? I am the only person in my party that goes to Disney every year that wants to go to the Sci-Fi...

Re: Behind the scenes pics

No hatred ~ but much jealousy!! I would loooove to stand in that little square and see everything in the ballroom close up :D What sort of stuff is in the PotC treasure room? Oh, you know the room where you're going through all the different pirate skeletons and you get that Pirate King type guy th...

Re: Which ride would you be nervous showing a first timer to

The only answer is the Autopia :-) I'd hate for my first timer to think they just paid $100 bucks to ride around on a track through an uninspired backdrop in cars from the 80s. And yet, if the "first timers" are a family with kids of the appropriate height, you score big points with Autopia. I've h...

Re: Behind the scenes pics

Thanks for posting these Amy!!!! I am one of those who like to see the inner workings and it actually enhances the magic for me. :) Hubby used to work with a gal who worked the HM at DL and she shared some pics with us from the ballroom scene...though they weren't as in depth as the ones Amy posted...

Re: Disneyland or Disney World

I was born in SoCal, so for years, Disneyland was perfection. Then, after visiting WDW, I really feel that while DLR is the original, that was the trial run; WDW, with all the beautiful land to buffer you from traffic and billboards, and the well-placed resorts, it feels much more the way I think W...

Re: What would you change back?

... and back to the Walter Cronkite version of Spaceship Earth with Tomorrow's Child. You don't like Judi Dench describing the Roman Empire as the "first world wide web"?!? (Can you detect the sarcasm there?) Oh my gosh, I forgot about Spaceship Earth, Yes, absolutely remove that Judi Dench narrati...

Another vote for Bengal Barbeque! Perfect stop for lunch: lite, quick, flavorful, cheaper, and great Adventureland ambience. Mmm, chicken skewers.

Re: Disney Paris - Can you see it all in one day?

This also helps me out as I sit here weighing the best way to plan out potentially going. I was considering a day for Parc Disneyland, a day for Walt Disney Studios Park, and 1-2 days in Paris if I do go so this is a good thing to hear on my end as well. Ooh, I'm excited for you! Obviously I love a...

Definitely EPCOT for me; the Entrance music, Innoventions, and I love the Land Interior. All the music at EPCOT made such an impression on me when I first went there.

So many, but in Alien Encounter, when Tim Curry would say, "Bon Voyage" in his slimy, distinctive way  and his condescending use and tone for poor"Skippy".

Re: BEST PARK?

My favorites, of the Parks I've been to, are Disneyland Paris, Epcot, then DHS. Being a SoCal resident my whole life, Disneyland will always be special, but I can really see Walt's vision when he was able to acquire more land in Florida. He may have not literally walked in the Parks there, but, the ...
